A friendly welcome awaits you at the Galaxie Hotel

The Galaxie Hotel is a family-run hotel conveniently situated in a leafy residential area 1.4 miles from the centre of the historic University town of Oxford. Buses to the centre run from just outside the hotel.

Our 30 years' experience helps us ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible whether it's for a single night or longer. We have 32 rooms of individual character and are in the process of completing refurbishment of the remaining few rooms to a contemporary standard.

The hotel is within easy reach of Oxford city centre, the colleges of the University, and Oxford’s main hospitals, as well as conference venues and other educational establishments. There is free on-site parking.

Our colourful modern rooms have private/en-suite shower or bathrooms, central heating, direct dial telephone, tea-making facilities, flat screen TVs and free WiFi.

Continental or full English breakfast is served in a light, airy conservatory dining room. Guests can relax in the attractive and peaceful garden, which features a Koi pond and sculptures by a local artist.

Our friendly and efficient staff can advise you on transport and local dining options. For business visitors we offer a fax and message service - helping our guests make the most of their stay. Please contact us for any further details or to make an enquiry about our rooms.

For those looking to stay in the heart of Oxford, we have a sister guest house, Henry’s, nestled amidst the scenic University colleges and a 10-minute walk from Oxford railway station. Please contact us for more information.
