tops:health, founded in 1984, has expanded its services over the years to meet the needs of the Oxford population. tops:health has its main site in Summertown as well as satellite locations at The University Club in the city centre, Oxford Brookes in Headington, and from February 2020, also Bicester and Woodstock.
Our team are experts in a wide range of specialities including Musculoskeletal, Sports, Women's Health, Hand & Upper Limb, Osteoporosis and Oncology Physiotherapy, Sports & Remedial Massage, Nutrition, and we also provide home visits for those unable to attend the clinic due to mobility or health issues.
All our Physiotherapists are HCPC and CSP registered and the clinic is recognised by all major insurance companies including BUPA and AXA-PPP. We have excellent relationships with local GPs and Consultants. Physiotherapy plays a vital role in pain relief, rehabilitation and injury prevention. Depending upon your problem, we have expertise in a variety of areas and can offer appointments both early morning, evening and Saturday's. We provide a personalised approach, aiming to return you to full function as soon as possible. We believe healthcare should be empathetic, effective and empowering; in engaging, positive environments.
In Summertown, we have a large in-house studio where we run a timetable of over 50 Pilates, Yoga, Tai-Chi and Elderly Functional Rehabilitation classes a week. We believe movement is medicine which is why we place a high emphasis on our clinical exercise delivery. We offer a range of private and group classes ranging from matwork pilates, reformer and equipment pilates, clinical yoga, vinyasa and iyengar yoga, tai chi and functional rehabilitation.
These classes will help you to understand your body including any ongoing injuries and how to build strength and mobility. We are able to use both our training and physiotherapy knowledge to modify traditional exercises to avoid any excessive strain, allowing for the exercises to be undertaken by all abilities and also when rehabilitating from an injury. The future is the focus; each episode of an illness or injury is an opportunity to be educated about our bodies and to become stronger and healthier, both physically and mentally. Movement gives you an enormous sense of well-being.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
