Contemporary sculpture in a peaceful garden in the heart of Summertown

The Turrill Sculpture Garden shows contemporary sculpture in a peaceful garden setting behind Summertown Library, OX2 7JN. It is freely open to the public.

Our exhibitions each year are designed to be varied: those that encourage children to be creative, group exhibitions of local sculptors and national level sculptors in solo exhibitions. We bring together an ever-changing series of fascinating sculptures in this peaceful garden setting, and most pieces are for sale; all profits being re-invested in the Garden.

Times of opening are Monday & Friday 09:30-17:00, Tuesday & Thursday 09:30-18:30, Saturday 09:00-16:00, Closed Wednesday & Sunday.

An 'Oxhibition'

Our 'Oxhibition' is part of the Oxtrail that has been set up throughout Oxfordshire this summer to raise funds for Sobell House Hospice. All the commission on any sales will go to the hospice. Sculptors Cathy Binnie, Cathy Ferreira, Wren Hughes, Cherry Jaquet, Liz Judge, Isabel Knowland, Briony Lawson, Anthony Lloyd, Kate Smith and Rachel Woods have created a wonderful range of oxen and bulls to celebrate this event.

We are also exhibiting some sculpture and glass by the gifted Vital Peeters, who died last year, as he often worked with oxen or bulls as his subject and it is a special way to remember this good friend of the Turrill Garden.
